LSA investigations at shell-bearing sites in the Middle St. Johns River Valley began in 2000 with the inaugural session of the St. Johns Archaeological Field School at Blue Springs and Hontoon Island State Parks. The field school moved to Silver Glen in 2007, where in 2012 and 2018 we were joined by students from the University of Oklahoma under the direction of UF alumnus Asa Randall. Although field school is in hiatus, laboratory research continues on collections from sites along Silver Glen Run. Go to the project web page to learn more.
